Rio Grande Sports Information
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande scored 12 unanswered runs over its final three at bats to record a 15-5 rain-shortened victory over Ohio Christian University, Saturday afternoon, in River States Conference baseball action at Olson Field.
The game, which was scheduled as the first of a doubleheader between the two teams, was halted after six innings due to rain and - after a 33-minute delay - was declared an official game by the umpiring crew.
The second half of the doubleheader, which will be a seven-inning contest, was rescheduled for Monday at 4 p.m.
The win left Rio Grande at 15-29 overall and 8-12 in league play.
Ohio Christian fell to 9-26 overall and 3-16 inside the RSC.

OCU managed just three baserunners on a walk and a pair of Rio errors over the final three innings.

Jarod Hamlin led the Trailblazers at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI, including a three-run home run in the four-run third. Ian Rycenga added a double and a run batted in.
