Rio's Powers named NAIA Scholar-Athlete

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Rio Grande junior Collin Powers is among the 383 men's baseball student-athletes who have been named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Baeball Scholar-Athletes by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
Powers is a native of Janesville, Wisconsin.
William Woods (Mo.) led all schools with 11 individuals on the list.
