Rio Grande duo honored by RSC

     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Cloe Johnson and Aina Lopez from University of Rio Grande had a big playoff performances to earn River States Conference Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for Oct. 31-Nov. 6.
     Johnson, a graduate senior from Valencia, Spain, scored the deciding goal in Rio Grande's 2-1 overtime victory over Oakland City (Ind.). The goal came in the RSC Championship quarterfinals and sent the No. 5 seed RedStorm into Wednesday's semifinal round.
     It was Johnson's only shot of the game and her first score of the season.
     Lopez, a freshman keeper from Barcelona, Spain was credited with nine saves in the overtime win. She faced 16 shots and withstood as the RedStorm had just four shots of their own.
