RIO GRANDE, Ohio - Four players from the University of Rio Grande were among those named to the 2024 All-River States Conference Softball Team.
The 2024 All-River States Conference Softball Teams & Awards were announced during a ceremony between games at last week's RSC Softball Championship at Little Creek Park in South Charleston, W.Va.
Through balloting of the 12 RSC softball head coaches, the All-RSC First, Second, & Third Teams were selected this year along with the RSC Softball Player, Pitcher, Freshman, and Coach of the Year.
Also recognized were the RSC Softball Champions of Character Team and the RSC Softball Scholar-Athlete Team.
Rio Grande, which went on to win the tournament championship and punch its ticket to the NAIA National Championship, was represented on the First Team by senior shortstop Caitlyn Brisker (Oak Hill, OH), junior P/OF Madison Ogden (Williamsburg, OH) and sophomore outfielder Kayla Sedgwick (Richwood, OH), while sophomore Gabby Adams (Grove City, OH) was a Second Team pick.
Ogden, who transferred from NCAA Division I Morehead State University, was also named the RSC's Newcomer of the Year.

Bradshaw led Shawnee State to a 36-11 overall record and the RSC's East Division Championship in her first season as head coach and SSU's first year in the league.
Shawnee State leads the conference in batting average (.341) and has remained in the top-25 all season nationally in that category.
