Rio's Brisker named RSC Player of the Week

     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Caitlyn Brisker from the University of Rio Grande is the River States Conference Softball Player of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for April 3-9.
     The junior shortstop from Oak Hill, Ohio hit .469 on the week with 15 hits in 32 at bats. In eight road games, Brisker scored 11 runs, doubled, tripled and homered twice each and drove in nine runs.
     Brisker also picked up six stolen bases, slugged .844 for the week and made just one error in the eight games.
     Brisker hit safely in all eight games with five multi-hit games.
     She was 3-for-4 with a double, despite a 9-8 loss to Point Park (Pa.). She was 2-for-5 with a homer in an 8-3 win over WVU Tech.
     Brisker was 5-for-8 with two triples and a double in a doubleheader split versus IU Southeast. She finished up with three hits, a homer and three RBIs in two wins over Brescia (Ky.).
