RedStorm duo close season at NAIA Championship

     TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - University of Rio Grande freshmen Olivia Cisco and Amarissa Kerns finished 171st and 225th, respectively, in Friday morning's NAIA Women's Cross Country Championship at Apalachee Regional Park.
     Cisco, a native of Waverly, Ohio, finished the 5kcourse in a time of 19:28, while Kerns - from Lancaster, Ohio - crossed the line in 19:50.
     Lina May, a senior at William Carey (Miss.) University, won the individual national title with a time of 16:50, topping the rest of the field of 326 runners.
     Taylor (Ind.) University easily captured the team championship with 50 points, while Milligan (Tenn.) University was a distant second with 177 points. College of Idaho finished third with 201 points.
     Quinn White of Taylor University was named national Coach of the Year.
     River States Conference team champion Point Park finished 32nd among the 36 scoring teams.
     The top individual from the RSC was Point Park's Alyssa Campbell, who placed 54th with a time of 18:25.
