Rio Grande's Kerns honored by RSC

     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Amarissa Kerns from the University of Rio Grande was chosen for River States Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for Oct. 24-30.
     A freshman from Lancaster, Ohio, Kerns won first place at the RedStorm Classic to claim the award. She did so with a time of 11 minutes, 59 seconds in the two-mile race. She won the race by 24 seconds and beat out the other 20 runners in the field.
     It was the final race before the RSC Championship Nov. 5 at IU Kokomo.
