RedStorm duo earn RSC weekly award

     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Amanda Rarick and Elle McLoughlin from the University of Rio Grande have been named the River States Conference Women's Volleyball Attacker and Setter of the Week, respectively, for the week of Oct. 14-20.
     The awards were announced Monday by the conference office.
     Rarick, a senior outside hitter from Canal Winchester, Ohio, continued to be the top hitter for the RedStorm, who moved to 9-1 in conference play with a pair of victories.
     She set a season-high with 22 kills in a four-set win over WVU Tech on Friday night, then added another 11 kills as Rio Grande swept past Alice Lloyd College on Saturday.
     McLoughlin, a junior from Zanesville, Ohio, enjoyed another productive week for the RedStorm by averaging more than 10 assists per set in her team's two wins.
     The star setter had a double-double with 14 digs in the win over WVU Tech, and added six blocks on the week.
