Rio's McLoughlin honored by RSC

     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - University of Rio Grande junior Elle McLoughlin was named the River States Conference Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week on Monday.
     The Zanesville, Ohio native racked up 159 assists over 17 sets played as the RedStorm collected three wins in four outings at the Milligan Mountain Madness hosted by Milligan (Tenn.) University.
     McLoughlin followed up a 39-assist outing against Tennessee Wesleyan in opening match of the two-day event with a season-high 46 assists in a triumph over Union Commonwealth (Ky.).
     On day two, she finished with 34 assists in a win over host Milligan before recording 40 assists in a five-set loss to Blue Mountain Christian (MS) University.
     In addition to her setting duties, McLoughlin also tallied 13 kills, 11 service aces, 44 digs, two solo blocks and eight block assists over the course of the weekend.
