Rio trio finishes in Top 10 at Hayes Invitational

     BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Rio Grande women's track & field team posted a trio of Top 10 finishes in Saturday's Billy Hayes Invitational hosted by Indiana University.
     Sophomore Lauren Jolly (Wheelersburg, OH) had the top showing among the trio, placing seventh in the javelin throw with a toss of 108'4".
     Sophomores Jayden Roach (Baltimore, OH) and Cassidy Vogt (North Robinson, OH) finished 10th in the 400-meter dash and the 100-meter hurdles, respectively, at the non-team scored event.
     Roach posted a time of 1:00.78 in her event, while Vogt crossed the line in a time of 15.15.
     None of the three performances met the qualifying standards for the upcoming NAIA Track & Field National Championships later this month.
     A handful of athletes representing the RedStorm are expected to make one last qualifying attempt at the Harrison Dillard Twilight hosted by Baldwin-Wallace University, Thursday and Friday, in Berea, Ohio.
