Rio's Roach sets new school record

BROOKINGS, S.D. - University of Rio Grande sophomore Jayden Roach failed to qualify for Saturday's final, but did establish a new school record in the 600-meter run during Friday's preliminary round at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
Roach, who hails from Baltimore, Ohio, finished 11th with a time of 1:35.45 - a mark which broke the previous school record time of 1:37.15 set by Tyanna Petty in 2017.
The top eight times from Friday's action advanced to Saturday afternoon's final.
