     GAINESVILLE, Fla. - University of Rio Grande junior Becca Spohn earned an All-American nod by finishing fifth in the 3,000-meter race walk in Friday's action in the 46th Annual NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championship at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe.
     Spohn, a native of New Concord, Ohio, posted a time of 15:53.66, which was good enough for a seventh place finish.
     The top eight finishers were named All-Americans.
     Also on Friday, junior Laura Hamm (South Point, OH) participated in the preliminaries of the one mile run, but failed to qualify for Saturday's final after finishing 16th with a time of 5:12.66.
     Saturday's schedule includes the 5,000-meter run, in which Rio senior Amarissa Kerns (Lancaster, OH) will be a participant. Race time is set for 3:55 p.m.
     Kerns' time of 17:29.25 is the ninth-fastest among the 50 qualifiers in the event.
