RedStorm still 8th in RSC tourney

     DANIELS, W.Va. - The University of Rio Grande remains in eighth place after the conclusion of Monday's second round of action in the River States Conference Women's Golf Championship at The Resort at Glade Springs.
     The RedStorm carded an 95-over par score of 383 for the day and have a 36-hole total of 762, which stands 11 shots back of Shawnee State University in the eight-team field.
     Midway University, which trailed Indiana University East by 10 shots following Sunday's first round, leapfrogged the Red Wolves and now hold a five-shot lead entering Tuesday's final round.
     The Eagles are now at 60-over par 636, while IU East is second at 65-over 641 and St. Mary-of-the-Woods-College is a distant third at 93-over par 669.
     Individually, Midway's Kasey Cameron had a 3-over par 75 on Monday and has claimed a 2-shot lead over her teammate Savannah Salchii. Cameron sits at 11-over par 155.
     Rio Grande continues to be led by freshman Lindsey Martin (Lawrenceburg, KY), who carded a 18-over par round of 90 for the day and sits at 35-over par 179 for the tourney.
     Others representing the RedStorm include junior Maddi Meadows (Gallipolis, OH) at 42-over 186; sophomore Kimmi Aubrey (Wellston, OH) at 56-over par 200; freshman Julia Hancock (Martins Ferry, OH) at 57-over 201; and senior Natalie Shriner (Thornville, OH) at 58-over par 202.
     Tuesday's final round is scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m.
