Rio women cruise to win in KCU Fall Invite

     OLIVE HILL, Ky. - The University of Rio Grande women's golf team had two of the top three individual scores, while capturing the team championship of the Kentucky Christian University Fall Invitational, which finished its two-day run on Tuesday at the Hidden Cove Golf Course.
     Freshman Lindsey Martin (Lawrenceburg, KY) took runner-up honors by finishing with a 36-over par 180, while junior teammate Maddie Meadows (Gallipolis, OH) was third at 38-over 182.
     The duo led the RedStorm to an easy team title in their Fall finale at 175-over par 751 - 32 shots ahead of runner-up Shawnee State University. Ohio Christian University was third at 227-over 803.
     OCU did have the individual medalist, though, in Tristan Wilson, who finished at 20-over par 164.
     Also contributing to the Rio team win was sophomore Kimmi Aubrey (Wellston, OH), who was fifth at 49-over 193; freshman Julia Hancock (Martins Ferry, OH), who tied for seventh place at 52-over par 196; and senior Natalie Shriner (Thornville, OH), who placed 15th at 91-over 235.
