RedStorm women finish 7th at Fall Preview

     DANIELS, W.Va. - The University of Rio Grande recorded a seventh place finish in the 2025 River States Conference Women's Golf Fall Preview, which wrapped up its two-day run on Tuesday at Glade Springs Resort's Stonehaven Course.
     The RedStorm finished above rival Shawnee State University in the eight-team field, carding a collective 150-over par score of 726 over 36 rounds of play.
     St. Mary-of-the-Woods College took the team title with a 61-over par 637, topping Indiana University East by seven shots. Midway University was third at 75-over 651.
     Emma Rowland from the first-year program at Indiana University Southeast grabbed medalist honors by finishing the tourney at 7-over par 151 - one stroke ahead of reigning RSC Golfer and Newcomer of the Year Kasey Cameron of Midway.
     Rio Grande's top individual efforts came from junior Maddi Meadows (Gallipolis, OH) and freshman Lindsey Martin (Lawrenceburg, KY), both of whom finished as part of a tie for 20th place at 24-over par 168.
     Also competing for the RedStorm was sophomore Kimmi Aubrey (Wellston, OH), who was 38th at 50-over 194; freshman Julia Hancock (Martiins Ferry, OH), who was right behind Aubrey in 39th place at 52-over 196; and senior Natalie Shriner (Thornville, OH), who placed 47th at 85-over par 229.
     The 2026 RSC Women's Golf Championship is scheduled for May 3-5, back at Glade Springs Resort Golf Course in West Virginia, with action moving over to the Cobb Course, the usual site for River States Conference play.
     Midway enters the championship as reigning champs, claiming the team title in 2025 by seven strokes over IU East.
