Rio's Darnell claims third RSC weekly honor

     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - For the third time this season, University of Rio Grande senior Kaylee Darnell has been named the River States Conference Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
     The Wheelersburg, Ohio native made a major impact for the 10th-ranked team in the nation, who won both of their games at the Bevo Francis Classic.
     Darnell scored 27.5 points per game and shot 52.9 percent from the field in victories over previously unbeaten Governors State (an NAIA tourney team last season) and (RV) Lindsey Wilson.
     She also added six rebounds per contest in the wins, and made five of her nine three-point attempts.
