Rio's Darnell named RSC Player of the Week

     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Kaylee Darnell from the University of Rio Grande scored River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for Nov. 6-12.
     A junior guard from Wheelersburg, Ohio, Darnell had a triple-double to highlight her week. She averaged 18.0 points, 9.0 assists and 7.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 weekend for the No. 7-ranked RedStorm.
     She led Rio Grande to a pair of victories at the Bevo Francis Classic to earn MVP honors on the weekend.
     Darnell had 17 points, seven assists and four rebounds in a win over Taylor (Ind.). She then put up 19 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds in a victory over Webber International (Fla.).
