Rio to face Royals in MSC Tournament

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The 2022 Mid-South Conference Men's Volleyball Tournament gets underway Thursday morning at Ephram White Gym in Bowling Green, Ky.
The opening round and quarterfinal matches on Thursday take place at Ephram White Gym. Friday's semifinals and the championship on Saturday will be held at Bowling Green High Arena.
Tickets are available for the tournament and can be purchased at https://www.mid-southconference.org/hometown-ticketing. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

The tournament begins on Thursday with five opening round matchups taking place. Fourth-seeded St. Andrews (19-5, 13-4) takes on No. 13 seed Truett McConnell (0-22, 0-17) at 10 a.m. EDT. St. Andrews swept the regular season series against Truett McConnell.
No. 5 seed Warner (11-6, 11-6) faces 12th-seeded Rio Grande (2-25, 1-17) at 10 a.m. EDT. Warner won the lone matchup of the regular season, 3-0.
One opening round matchup takes places at 12:30 p.m. EDT with eighth-seeded Reinhardt (15-10, 8-9) taking on No. 9 seed Bluefield (14-18, 7-11). Reinhardt defeated Bluefield, 3-2, back on February 12.
The opening round wraps up with seventh-seeded Cumberland (21-15, 11-7) going against No. 10 seed Thomas More (8-18, 5-13) and No. 6 seed Life (16-6, 11-6) taking on 11th-seeded Midway (8-16, 3-15) at 3 p.m. EDT. Cumberland swept the regular season series against Thomas More. Life won the lone matchup of the regular season, 3-0.
Quarterfinals get underway at 6:30 p.m. EDT with top-seeded Georgetown (24-5, 17-1) taking on the winner of the Reinhardt/Bluefield match. The winner of St. Andrews/Truett McConnell and Warner/Rio Grande face each other in a quarterfinal match at 6:30.
The quarterfinals wrap up on Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT with second-seeded Webber International (18-7, 13-4) taking on the winner of the Cumberland-Thomas More match. No. 3 seed Campbellsville (19-6, 14-4) will face the winner of Life/Midway at 9 p.m.
The quarterfinal winners advance to Friday's semifinal round at 6:30 and 9 p.m. EDTT at Bowling Green High Arena. The championship match is scheduled for 4 p.m. EDT on Saturday.

The winner of the MSC Men's Volleyball Tournament earns the conference's automatic bid in the NAIA National Championships. If Georgetown were to win the tournament then the tournament runner-up would receive the second automatic bid.
