     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Troy Mason from the University of Rio Grande was named River States Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week on Monday.
     A sophomore from Grenville, Grenada, Mason broke a 17-year-old meet record, hit the "A" qualifying standard for the NAIA National Championship later this Spring and set a new school record with a time of 20.93 in the 200-meter dash at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge in South Carolina.
     Mason was also part of Rio's 4x200 relay team, which finished third in a new school record time of 1:27.61, as well as a member of the 4x100 relay unit, which finished fourth in 41.91 - the second-fastest time in school history.
