Jenkins qualifies for 5,000-meter finals at NAIA nationals

     BROOKINGS, S.D. - University of Rio Grande freshman Tyler Jenkins qualified for the finals of the 5,000-meter run based on his performance in Thursday's preliminaries in the 58th Annual Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
     Jenkins, who hails from Barnesville, Ohio, finished fourth in Heat No. 2 and fifth overall with a time of 14:59.77.
     The top four runners in each heat, plus the next four-fastest times advanced to Saturday's final, which is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. EST.
