Jenkins to represent Rio men at indoor nationals

     RIO GRANDE, Ohio - Tyler Jenkins will represent the University of Rio Grande track and field team at the 58th Annual Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships, which begins on Thursday at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, S.D.
     Jenkins, a freshman from Barnesville, Ohio, is among those participating in the 5,000-meter run.
     The preliminary round for the event is set for Thursday at 3:45 p.m. EST. The top four runners in each heat, plus the next four-fastest times will advance to Saturday's final at 5:45 p.m. EST.
     Jenkins is part of Heat No. 2.
     Jenkins had the 27th-fastest qualifying mark among the 35 participants with a time of 14:56.58.
