Rio's Silva named RSC Player of the Week

     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Gabriel Silva from No. 21-ranked University of Rio Grande earned River States Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week presented by Brown & Brown Insurance for the third time this year. The most-recent accolade is for Oct. 24-30.
     Silva, a sophomore from Sao Luis, Brazil, had four goals and eight points in a 2-0 week for the RedStorm.
     He had a big hat trick to power Rio Grande to a 4-0 victory over St. Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.) All of that came on seven shots. He then had a the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over Brescia (Ky.) to close out the regular season and keep the RedStorm undefeated in conference play.
