Rio's Catanese, Lemaster part of ISC Sectional

     PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Two members of the University of Rio Grande men's bowling team were among those participating in Friday's Intercollegiate Singles Championships Sectional Qualifier at AMF Mt. Lebanon Lanes.
     The individual competition was part of a three-day sectional, which consisted of six rounds of individual play and 64 rounds of team baker play, wrapped up on Sunday.
     The top four teams in each of the four ITC sectionals advance to the ITC Nationals, which are scheduled for April 13-18 in Green Bay, Wis.
     The top six individuals, whether on a qualifying team or not, also qualify for the national event.
     Rio's representatives were junior Dominic Catanese (North Royalton, OH), who finished 30th in the field of 175 bowlers with 1,157 pins and junior Jacob LeMaster (Chillicothe, OH), who was 145th with 983 pins.
     Malakai Pettrie from Indiana Tech won the individual title with 1,317 pins.
     The top four teams were McKendree University (Ill.) with 12,914 pins, Trine University (12,901), Milligan, Tenn. (12,864) and Lawrence Tech, Mich. (12,836).
