Lemaster leads Rio men at Hoosier Classic

     INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The University of Rio Grande men's bowling posted to a 71st place finish in the 57th Annual Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic, which ran from Friday through Sunday at Royal Pin Western.
     The RedStorm toppled 4,254 pins in five rounds of team play and 2,481 pins over 15 rounds of baker games for a total of 6,735 pins.
     Wichita State University won the 78-team event with 8,510 pins, while Aquinas (Mich.) College was second with 8,482 pins and McKendree (Ill.) University placed third with a total of 8,312 pins.
     Webber International (Fla.) University's Brandon Bohn took medalist honors among the 536 competing bowlers with 1,204 pins over five games for an average of 240.8.
     Junior Jacob LeMaster (Chillicothe, OH) provided Rio with its top individual showing with 1,030 pins over five games for a 206.0 average. He also had the team's top single game after rolling a 277 in round four.
     Also representing the RedStorm was junior Dominic Catanese (North Royalton, OH), who was 168th with 957 pins in five games; freshman Daniel Mast (Carlisle, PA), who was 232nd with 835 pins in five rounds; freshman Caden Faust (Hillsboro, IN), who finished 264th with 771 pins in five rounds; and freshman Kameron Madison (Ripley, OH), who was 307th with 661 pins in five games.
