RedStorm men 10th at OBC No. 2

     COLUMBUS, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande men's bowling team had their top showing of the season, posting a 10th place finish in Saturday's Ohio Bowling Conference No. 2 Tournament at the Columbus Bowling Palace.
     The RedStorm finished with 5,110 pins to take the final spot in the upper half of the 20-team field.
     Muskingum University won the team title with 5,727 pins, while Ohio State University was second at 5,684 pins and Thomas More University was third at 5,635 pins.
     The top individual score went to Muskingum's Jacob Willard, who topped the field of 213 competitors with 740 pins toppled in three games for a 246.7 average.
     Rio Grande's top individual performance came from junior Jacob LeMaster (Chillicothe, OH), who finished 20th overall with 646 pins over three games for a 215.3 average. He was also responsible for the RedStorm's top single game with a 255 in round two.
     Junior Dominic Catanese (North Royalton, OH)was hot on Lemaster's heels, taking 22nd place with 638 pins in three rounds.
     Also representing Rio Grande was freshman Merik Candella (Columbus, OH), who placed 88th with 537 pins in three rounds; sophomore Sailor Cope (Chillicothe, OH), who took 96th place after taking down 529 pins in three games; and freshman Daniel Mast (Carlisle, PA), who was 103rd with 520 pins in three games.
     The RedStorm are scheduled to return to action on Saturday and Sunday at the Bulldog Bash in Richmond, Ky.
