Rio's Robertson named to All-RSC preseason team

     MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - University of Rio Grande junior guard Trey Robertson is among those named to the 2024-25 Preseason All-River States Conference Men's Basketball Team.
     The team was announced Tuesday as part of the league's Men's Basketball Media Day.
     Robertson, a Second Team All-RSC pick last season, was the only Rio player to start in each of the team's 29 games. He ranked second on the team in scoring (16.4 ppg), led the squad in assists (3.3 apg) and tied for the team lead in steals (30).
     The Waverly, Ohio product shot just under 49 percent overall (175-for-360), led the team in three-point goals and three-point percentage (59-for-146, 40.4%) and shot a club-best 83.5 percent at the foul line (66-for-79).
     Also making the list was Jalen Cincore of Midway University; WVU-Tech's Braden Chapman and Thomas Hailey; Cory Gardner from Brescia University; Greg Jenkins and Shan Tupuola of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College; Indiana University Southeast's Lane Lauderbaugh; Max Newman of Indiana University Kokomo; and Alice Lloyd College's Jared Strickland.
     Newman and Chapman were both First Team All-RSC selections last season.
