Bio

     Saunders returns strong local roots and proven defensive leadership to the Rio Grande football program.
     A graduate of Gallia Academy High School, Saunders continued his football career at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he played linebacker for four seasons, served as team captain, and earned team MVP honors during his senior year.
     After graduating from Capital University Law School, he returned to coaching and served as linebackers coach at Gallia Academy before becoming defensive coordinator for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
     Saunders brings strong defensive knowledge, leadership experience, and local pride to the RedStorm defense.
