RedStorm archers roll to regional crown

     INA, Ill. - The University of Rio Grande Archery team delivered a dominating performance at last weekend's 2025 USA Archery 3D Regionals - North, bringing home medals across every division and capturing a team championship.
     In total, the RedStorm captured 15 individual podium finishes and 12 team podium finishes, including 4 mixed team golds, en route to sweeping the mixed team competition.
     Head coach Jonathan Clemins' squad tallied 286 overall points to finish at the top of the eight-team field.
     "I am so proud of this team and we proved once again why the RedStorm is one of the strongest collegiate archery programs in the nation," Clemins said. "We had a great weekend, but as good as it was, I know we can be even better. We'll keep working hard and fine-tune some minor details leading into nationals."
     Among the 15 individual podium finishes, six were gold medal performances. There were also four silver finishes and five bronze showings.
     Gold winners included AJ Clements in Men's Olympic Recurve; Lea-Lynn Gregorio in Women's Olympic Recurve; Bronson Ormes in Men's Barebow; Madison Hurst in Women's Fixed Pins; Clayton Mills in Men's Fixed Pins; and sophomore Colton Green (Bloomfield, OH) in Men's Compound.
     Daniel Clayton took silver in Men's Olympic Recurve, while Braxton Stricklin placed second in Men's Barebow, senior Alicia Aviles (Tamarac, FL) was the runner-up in Women's Fixed Pins and senior Zoe Woods (McHenry, IL) was the silver winner in Women's Compound.
     Bronze winners for the RedStorm were Eleanor Rodriguez in Women's Olympic Recurve; Alyssa Lewis in Women's Barebow; junior Foster Jones (Lyons, GA) in Men's Barebow; junior Danielle Pollard (West Pittston, PA) in Women's Fixed Pins; and Parker Braddock in Men's Compound.
     Among Rio's 12 team podium performances, nine were gold, including all four categories in the mixed team division.
     The mixed sweep included Green and Woods in Compound, Mills and Hurst in Fixed Pins, Clements and Gregorio in Recurve and the duo of Ormes and Lewis in Barebow.
     Also capturing gold was Woods, sophomore Matteja Metcalf (Piedmont, S.C.) and senior Emalee Wooldridge (Vernal, UT) in Women's Compound; Hurst, Aviles and Pollard in Women's Fixed Pins; Clements, Cameron Senay and Clayton in Men's Recurve; Gregorio, Rodriguez and senior Alyssa Nelson (Draper, UT) in Women's Recurve; and the trio of Ormes, Stricklin and Jones in Men's Barebow.
     Taking silver in Men's Compound was Green, Braddock and senior Matthew Russell (Loganville, GA), while Lewis, sophomore Madison Abel (Buckhannon, WV) and Lilly Martin did the same in Women's Barebow.
     The RedStorm also got a fourth-place outing from Mills, sophomore Nathan Bennett (St. Albans, WV) and senior Braydin White (Zanesville, OH) in Men's Fixed Pins to go along with a silver medal from Green, Gregorio and Mills in Mixed Equipment.
     Rio Grande returns to action in the USA Archery Collegiate 3D Nationals, Oct. 2-4, in Foley, Ala.
