Rio's Mattia earns NAIA Scholar-Athlete Award
Marion, Ind. --- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released its 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Track and Field Scholar-Athletes list over the weekend at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships. Junior Cassie Mattia represented the University of Rio Grande on the list.

Marion, Ind. --- University of Rio Grande junior Cassie Mattia advanced to the 400-meter hurdle semifinals on Friday afternoon with a solid performance in the 400 preliminaries on Thursday at the NAIA Track & Field National Championships at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande will be represented by two males and one female at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, May 27-29. The championships will be held at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind.

RedStorm sign GAHS' Baker to run
Rio Grande --- With the stroke of a pen the University of Rio Grande women's track and cross country teams have grown by one as Genna Baker of Gallia Academy High School has signed a national letter of intent to compete in both sports at Rio Grande beginning in the fall of 2010.

RedStorm track adds Trimble's Six
Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande women's track and field program is pleased to announce the signing of Rachel Six of Trimble High School to a national letter of intent to compete in track and field beginning in the 2010-11 academic year.
