    MOWRYSTOWN, Ohio – University of Rio Grande head track & field coach Bob Willey has announced the signing of Whiteoak High School standout Clarissa Johnson for the 2013-14 school year.
    Johnson, a 5-foot-6 sprinter/hurdler, competed in the 100-meter dash, the 200-meter dash, the 300-meter hurdles and the long jump this spring for head coach Jordan Michael's Wildcats.
    Johnson qualified for the regional championship meet in the 100, 200 and 300 hurdles, but did not advance to the state championship in any of the three events. She did, however, set a new personal record in the 300 hurdles at the regional with a finish time of 49.50.

    MOUNT ORAB, Ohio – University of Rio Grande track & field head coach Bob Willey has announced the signing of Western Brown High School's Lauren Stacy for the 2014 season.
    Stacy was a 5-foot-9 thrower for head coach Jeff Jones' Broncos, competing in the shot put, discus and hammer throw.
    Stacy, a first team All-Southern Buckeye Athletic/Academic Conference honoree and the league's American Division Field Event Athlete of the Year, was a Division I qualifier in the shot put for last weekend's state championship meet and finished eighth with a toss of 40-4.5.

    ASHVILLE, Ohio – University of Rio Grande cross country/track & field head coach Bob Willey has announced the signing of Teays Valley High School's Katie Glover for the 2013-14 school year.
    Glover, a 5-foot-6 distance runner, was a part of the relay teams for head coach Zach Frank's Vikings which set school records in the 4x400 and 4x800. The 4x800 squad of which she is a member was a regional championship qualifier.

    GROVE CITY, Ohio – University of Rio Grande cross country/track & field head coach Bob Willey has announced the signing of Central Crossing High School's Jessica Reckner for the 2013-14 school year.
    Reckner, a 5-foot-6 distance runner, is a 2012 graduate of CCHS where she ran both cross country and track for head coach Doug Boggs' Comets. Her track & field events included the 400-meter dash, the 800-meter run, the 1600-meter run, 3200-meter run, the 4x800 relay and the 4x1600 relay.

    LUCASVILLE, Ohio – University of Rio Grande track and field head coach Bob Willey has announced the signing of Valley High School's McKenzie Coriell for the 2014 season.
    Coriell, a 5-foot-5 sprinter, was an All-Southeast District honoree and a First Team All-Southern Ohio Conference pick last season for head coach Jason Fell's Indians.

    RIO GRANDE, Ohio - A pair of runners representing the University of Rio Grande have been named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District women's track & field/cross country teams by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
    Senior Cassie Mattia (West Chester, OH) and junior Amy Lower (Lancaster, OH) were recognized for their combined performances in the classroom and on the track for the RedStorm.
