     RIO GRANDE, Ohio - University of Rio Grande women's soccer head coach Callum Morris has announced the signing of Taylor Ahrens to a national letter of intent for the 2012 season.
     Ahrens, a 5-foot-8 midfielder, helped Ross High School in Hamilton, Ohio to a 17-2-1 record and a berth in the Division II regional semifinals. She scored two goals and assisted on five others for head coach Fred Hibbs' Rams this fall.

     RIO GRANDE, Ohio - University of Rio Grande head women's soccer coach Callum Morris has announced the signing of Chillicothe High School standout Kasey Crow to a national letter of intent for the 2012 season.
     Crow, a 5-foot-4 forward/midfielder, helped head coach Zach Breth's Cavaliers to a 14-4 record and a berth in the Ohio Division II regional semifinals. She was also named the Southeastern Ohio Athletic League (SEOAL) Player of the Year and was a second team All-State selection by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.

    RIO GRANDE, Ohio - Three players from the University of Rio Grande were named as honorable mention selection to the All-Mid South Conference women's soccer team on Wednesday.
    Junior defender Venessa Montgomery (Chillicothe, OH), juniro defender Allyson Schmelzer (Lancaster, OH) and junior forward Mandi Thoma (Ontario, OH) represented the RedStorm on the squad, which was announced Wednesday morning by league officials at the conference's annual awards banquet.

    GEORGETOWN, Ky. - For the second time in as many outings this season, it was a freakish goal which allowed Georgetown to avoid an upset by the University of Rio Grande.

    Lauren Brooks' marker with 3:35 left in regulation snapped a scoreless tie and sparked the Tigers to a 2-0 win over the RedStorm in the quarterfinal round of the Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer Tournament, Friday afternoon, at the Georgetown Soccer Complex.

    CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Erica Nagel's second half goal broke a scoreless deadlock and lifted the University of Rio Grande to a 1-0 win over WVU Tech, Friday afternoon, in women's soccer action at Coonskin Park's Schoenbaum Stadium.
    With their second straight victory, the RedStorm closed the regular season with a 6-10 record.

    BECKLEY, W.Va. - Allyson Schmelzer's goal 20 seconds into the second half snapped a scoreless tie and lifted
the University of Rio Grande to a 1-0 win over Mountain State University, Tuesday evening, at the Beckley YMCA Soccer Complex.
    With the win, the RedStorm improved to 5-10 overall and snapped a five-game losing skid in the process.
