RedStorm women's soccer inks first recruit
Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's soccer team is pleased to announce the signing of Alexandria Davis of Teays Valley High School to a national letter of intent to play soccer for the RedStorm beginning in the fall of 2010.

RedStorm women end season
Columbia, Ky. ---- It was post-season for the first time in school history for the University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's soccer team as they faced off with NAIA No. 1 Lindsey Wilson in the first round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon. LWC was too much for the RedStorm as it rolled to an impressive 11-0 win thus ending Rio Grande's season.

RedStorm women prepare for first ever post-season action
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's soccer team will be involved in the post-season for the first time in school history on Friday when they travel to Lindsey Wilson to play in the opening round of the 2009 Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer Tournament. The tournament's top four seeds host this weekend with the winners advancing to Lexington, KY for the semifinals and finals next week.

RedStorm women close out regular season with a loss
Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's soccer team closed out the regular season at home on Monday evening against West Virginia Tech. The RedStorm dropped a 2-0 decision and ended the Mid-South Conference season winless.

Georgetown, Ky. --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's soccer team came up empty on Friday evening at Georgetown College, dropping a 4-0 decision in Mid-South Conference play.

RedStorm lose to arch rival Shawnee State
Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's soccer team started fast but faded in the second half in falling to arch rival Shawnee State by a 3-1 score on Tuesday evening at Evan Davis Field. This game marked the swan song for Rio Grande senior defender Sarah Rice, as she was honored before the game as Rio's lone senior for the 2009 season.
