ORANGE BEACH, Ala. - Richard Isberner has been a goal-scoring machine for the University of Rio Grande men's soccer team from the outset of the 2011 season.
There's little question, though, that the latest tally to the junior forward's total was the most important marker of the season by far.
Isberner scored on the rebound of a missed shot by teammate Scott Bibby with 5:02 remaining in overtime, lifting the fifth-seeded RedStorm to a 1-0 win over No. 12 seed Belhaven (Miss.) in the second round of the NAIA National Championship Tournament, Tuesday night, at the Orange Beach Sports Complex.

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. - Despite having 18 wins and a No. 4 ranking in the final NAIA men's soccer coaches poll, the University of Rio Grande has come up empty this fall in terms of its litany of pre-season objectives.
"We always set three goals at the start of every season - win a conference championship, win a conference post-season championship and win the national championship. We've only gotten it right one time in my 23 years here," said Rio Grande head coach Scott Morrissey. "We've won our fair share of conference championships and post-season championships in the past, but in 2011 we've won absolutely nothing and our players know that. We've got one goal left and that's to win it all, but it's going to be a lot of hard work."
