RedStorm women's hoops season ends

Frankfort, Ky. --- The 2009-10 season ended for the University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's basketball team on Thursday afternoon as they lost 68-65 to Lindsey Wilson College in the quarterfinal round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament at the Frankfort Convention Center.

Kendro and Smith land All-MSC honors

Frankfort, Ky. --- University of Rio Grande juniors Leah Kendro and Jenna Smith were named to the All-Mid-South Conference team on Wednesday evening at the annual conference banquet held at the Capital Plaza Hotel.

Kendro leads NAIA in FT PCT

Rio Grande --- As the University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's basketball team heads into the Mid-South Conference Tournament they are well aware that success or failure could come down to free throws. If that is the case, Rio Grande is hoping that junior forward Leah Kendro is the one at the line to knock them down.

Rio Grande has successful Pink Zone event

Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's basketball program held its annual Pink Zone event, entitled Rio Grande: Hoops for Cure, January 13 versus Campbellsville as a part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) Breast Cancer Awareness program.

RedStorm women prepare for MSC Tournament

Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's basketball team will face off with Lindsey Wilson College in the quarterfinal round of the 2010 Mid-South Conference Tournament on Thursday (March 4) at the Frankfort (KY) Convention Center.

Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's basketball team ended the 2009-10 regular season with an impressive 73-68 victory over Georgetown College on Saturday afternoon at the Newt Oliver Arena.
