Marrow enjoys Rio homecoming

Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm baseball team hosted Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH on Saturday in a doubleheader. The day marked a homecoming for Franciscan head baseball coach Dr. Robert Marrow.

RedStorm sweep double dip from OSU-Mansfield

Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm baseball team made it a perfect weekend with a doubleheader sweep of Ohio State-Mansfield on Sunday at Bob Evans Field. Rio took the first game, 4-1 and won game two in six innings by a 10-0 score.

RedStorm baseball sweeps Franciscan

Rio Grande --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm baseball team opened the home portion of the 2010 schedule on Saturday versus NCAA Division III Franciscan University at Bob Evans Field. This was a make-up game from February 27. Rio Grande swept the doubleheader and improved to 9-2 on the season. Rio Grande won the first game 17-1 and capped the day with a 15-1 victory in game two.

RedStorm lose to SSU in extras

Portsmouth, OH --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm baseball team was finally able to get back on the diamond after a week of postponements and perhaps the layoff had a negative effect as Rio Grande lost to archrival Shawnee State 4-3 in 10 innings at Branch Rickey Park.

Rio baseball continues to roll

Cleveland, TN --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm baseball team made up last Monday's postponement of their early season statement game with NAIA pre-season No. 5 Lee University on Sunday afternoon and came away with a 6-5 victory.

RedStorm baseball wins Tennessee tournament

Chattanooga, TN --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm baseball team took care of business at the Tennessee Temple Tournament winning all four games played including the championship game over Bryan College on Saturday night by the score of 7-4.
