    PONTIAC, Mich. - University of Rio Grande director of cross country/track & field Steve Gruenberg has announced the signing of Waterford Mott High School's Connie Cogdell for the 2014-15 school year.
    Cogdell, a 5-foot-8 sprinter, ran in a number of different events throughout her prep career for head coach Amy McNeil's Corsairs, earning a Captain's Award and Coaches Award in the process.
    "It feels good to be signing with Rio Grande and it feels great to continue running at the collegiate level," said Cogdell. "Having the opportunity to do this has been one of my goals since I got to high school."

    WILLIAMSBURG, Ohio - University of Rio Grande director of cross country/track & field Steve Gruenberg has announced the signing of Williamsburg High School's Caley Pringle for the 2014-15 school year.
    Pringle, a 5-foot-5 jumper/hurdler, enjoyed a standout career for the Wildcats, earning a first team selection to the Southern Buckeye Athletic and Academic Conference National Division All-Star team in each of her four seasons.
    Pringle competed in the 100-meter hurdles, the 300-meter hurdles, the high jump, the long jump and the pole vault during her prep career and was named the league's National Division Field Athlete of the Year as a senior.

    STEWART, Ohio - University of Rio Grande director of cross country/track & field Steve Gruenberg has announced the signing of Federal Hocking High School's Cheyenne Singer for the 2014-15 school year.
    Singer, a 5-foot-10 thrower, participated in both the discus throw and shot put for head coach Jerry Weaver's Lancers and was a three-time state meet qualifier.
    Singer broke the school record in the shot put on three different occasions during her prep career and currently holds the school's top effort in the event with a heave of 38-9.5.

    WEST PORTSMOUTH, Ohio - University of Rio Grande director of cross country/track & field Steve Gruenberg has announced the signing of Portsmouth West High School's Madison Scarberry for the 2014-15 school year.
    Scarberry, who stands 5-foot-7, participated, primarily, in the 400-meter dash for head coach Julie Conrad's Senators during her freshman and junior years of high school. She was also a member of the school's 4x100 and 4x200 relay squads.

    RIO GRANDE, Ohio - A visit from Olympic gold medalist Mary Wineberg will highlight the 2014 Rio Grande Track & Field Camp, which is scheduled for July 6-10 on the campus of the University of Rio Grande.
    Wineberg will be speaking on Tuesday, July 8, at 11 a.m., inside Bob Evans Farms Hall on the URG campus. There will be autograph and photo opportunities for campers and the public following the presentation.
    After a break for lunch, Wineberg will remain on hand to conduct a handful of drills for campers.

    CARROLLTON, Ohio - University of Rio Grande director of track & field/cross country Steve Gruenberg has announced the signing of West Virginia Wesleyan College transfer April Sisk for the 2014-15 school year.
    Sisk, a 5-foot-9 thrower, is a 2012 graduate of Carrollton High School, where she competed in both the discus and shot put for head coach Greg Platt's Warriors.
    She attended WV Wesleyan in the fall of 2012, but did not compete for the Bobcats.
