    PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Stephanie Gruenberg equaled a season-best time of 20:12 to post an eighth-place finish and lead the University of Rio Grande women's cross country team in the 2014 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, Saturday afternoon, at Schenley Park.
    Gruenberg, a sophomore from Claremont, N.H., matched her season-best time which she established in the season-opening Patty Forgey Invitational in September.
    The RedStorm had four of the top 15 finishers in the 5k event, which included 68 runners representing eight schools.
    All seven Rio runners finished in the top 22 and the RedStorm finished third as a team.

    RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande women's cross country team will be competing in the 2014 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, at 1:30 p.m., at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, Pa.
    The team champion and the top four individuals who aren't members of the winning team and who finish in the top 15 will advance to the NAIA National Championships on Nov. 22 in Lawrence, Kan.
    The KIAC will also recognize the all-conference teams - based on the finish of Saturday's race - as well as numerous other awards in a ceremony following the run.

    WILMINGTON, Ohio - Three runners representing  the University of Rio Grande posted top 20 finishes and the RedStorm finished second as a team in Friday's Cedarville Open hosted by Cedarville University.
    Brittany Piccone, a senior from Crooksville, Ohio, completed the 5k course in 20:17 for an 16th place finish in the 64-runner field, crossing just ahead of sophomore teammate Stephanie Gruenberg (Claremont, N.H.), who was 17th in a time of 20:20.
    Freshman Rachel Ball (Chillicothe, OH) also cracked the top 20, finishing 19th in 20:22.

    CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande men's and women's cross country team are scheduled to be among those competing in the Cedarville Open, Friday afternoon, at Cedarville University's Elvin R. King Course.
    The women's race is slated to get started at 4 p.m., with the men's run set for 4:45 p.m.

    WILMINGTON, Ohio - Brittany Piccone gave the University of Rio Grande its only top 100 finish and the RedStorm finished 18th as a team in Friday's 43-team #JennaStrong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College.
    Piccone, a senior from Crooksville, Ohio, completed the 5k course in 20:14 for an 88th place finish among the 413 runners in the field.
