Taylor Butler is Rio Grande's new head cheerleading coach

     RIO GRANDE, Ohio - University of Rio Grande athletic director Jeff Lanham has announced the hiring of Taylor Butler as the school's new cheerleading coach.
     A native of Jackson, Ohio, Butler is a graduate of both Oak Hill High School and The Ohio State University. She was a member of the women's basketball coaching staff last season.
     "I am very excited to be a part of the Redstorm coaching staff and rebuilding a program with a fresh foundation that will establish a sense of pride, dedication, and hard work," Butler said. "I plan to have 8-10 cheerleaders for the 2016-2017 season. I come with many years of cheer experience and I plan to bring plenty of enthusiasm to my squad as we prepare for the upcoming year."

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Three University of Rio Grande cheerleaders were among those recognized by the Mid-South Conference over the weekend for their performances both on the court and in the classroom.
    Sophomore Gwendolyn Rose (Leesburg, OH) was named to both the All-MSC First Team and the Academic All-MSC Team, while senior Kiah Haynes (Little Hocking, OH) joined Rose on the All-MSC First Team and junior Shelby Sizemore (Stoutsville, OH) was also an Academic All-MSC selection.
    Both teams were named prior to last Thursday's Mid-South Conference cheer championships at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Lexington, Ky.

Rio Grande announces 2009-10 cheerleading squad  

Rio Grande --- University of Rio Grande has announced its 2009-10 cheerleading squad.  The squad has two seniors in Stacy Adkins (Jackson, OH) and Ashley Curry (Bidwell, OH).
