    SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Two members of the University of Rio Grande volleyball team were among the 391 student-athletes named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
    Senior defensive specialist Nicole Ogg (Albany, OH) and junior outside hitter Betsy Schramm (Marietta, OH) represented the RedStorm on the list.
    Ogg, a Business Management major, carries a 3.60 grade point average, while Schramm, an Education major, has a GPA of 3.80.

    COLUMBIA, Ky. - Two players representing the University of Rio Grande were among the standouts named to the All-Mid-South Conference Volleyball Second Team on Thursday.
    Freshman setter/outside hitter Kayla Briley (Marion, OH) and freshman right-side hitter/middle blocker Autumn Snider (Marion, OH) were the second unit honorees for the RedStorm, who finished 14-16 after suffering a loss to Georgetown in the quarterfinal round of the MSC Tournament on Friday.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The seventh-seeded University of Rio Grande volleyball saw its season end on Friday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference tournament with a straight sets loss to second-seeded Georgetown College (25-21, 25-21, 25-16).
    The RedStorm, who finished their season with a 14-16 record, said goodybe to its lone senior Nicole Ogg (Albany, OH), who, in typical Ogg-fashion, dug out 15 opponent attacks to lead Rio Grande on the day.
    The contest was also the final one in the career of junior defensive specialist Jocelyn George (Cambridge, OH), who will not return next season.

    COLUMBIA, Ky. - Five student-athletes representing the University of Rio Grande have been named to the Academic All-Mid-South Conference volleyball team.
    The list, comprised of 54 players from each of the league's 10 members, was announced by conference officials on Wednesday.

    RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The seventh-seeded University of Rio Grande volleyball team will take to the road Friday when they take on the No. 2 seed Georgetown Tigers in the quarterfinal round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament at the MidAmerican Sports Center in Louisville, Ky.
    First serve is set for 4 p.m. EST.
    The RedStorm (14-15) ended the regular season as one of the hottest teams in the conference by rattling off four consecutive wins, including three over conference opponents.

    PORTSMOUTH, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande volleyball team finished up the regular season on Thursday night with a three-set victory (25-23, 25-23, 25-23) over arch-rival Shawnee State at the Frank and Janis Waller Gymnasium.
    The RedStorm (14-15 overall, 7-11 Mid-South Conference) ran their winning streak to four straight matches and earned a season split with SSU.
    Head coach Billina Donaldson's squad will enter the MSC Tournament next weekend as the seventh overall seed.
