     MONTREAT, N.C. - The University of Rio Grande volleyball team wrapped up its two-day run at the Volley in the Mountains Classic on Saturday with a loss to Shawnee State and a win over Martin Methodist (Tenn.).
     The RedStorm (3-1) suffered a 25-20, 25-18, 26-24 to the rival Bears before rebounding to defeat the RedHawks in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-17.

    MONTREAT, N.C. - The University of Rio Grande volleyball team rallied from two sets down to defeat Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Asbury and cap a perfect season-opening day at Friday's Volley in the Mountains Tournament hosted by Montreat College.
    The RedStorm took down the host Cavaliers 25-22, 15-25, 25-20, 25-18 in their first match before rallying past the Eagles 24-26, 12-25, 25-16, 25-14, 15-8.

    RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande volleyball team will get its 2015 schedule underway this weekend at the Volley in the Mountains hosted by Montreat College in Montreat, N.C.
    The RedStorm will face the host Cavaliers in the tourney opener on Friday at 1 p.m. before squaring off with Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Asbury University at 5 p.m.
    On Saturday, head coach Billina Donaldson's squad faces another rival in Shawnee State University at 11 a.m. before closing out the weekend against Martin Methodist (Tenn.) at 3 p.m.

    FLORENCE, Ky. – The University of Rio Grande was picked sixth in the 2015 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll released Friday by the league office.
    The RedStorm tallied 86 points in the balloting of the conference's 13 head coaches. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own teams.
    Head coach Billina Donaldson's squad had an overall record of 18-18 last season, including a 6-4 mark in KIAC play. Eight members of last year's squad return this fall, including All-KIAC 2nd Team honoree Kayla Briley.

    RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The University of Rio Grande will host its 2015 Summer Volleyball Camp, June 28-30, at the Lyne Center on the URG campus.
    The camp is open to girls in grades 6-12. There will be two divisions for campers – grade 6-8 and grade 9-12.
    Campers will receive instruction in fundamentals and various drills from a staff that will include a former All-American, as well as All-Ohio and Player of the Year honorees and NAIA national leaders in their area of specialty.

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Two players representing the University of Rio Grande are among the 455 volleyball student-athletes named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
    Senior outside hitter Betsy Schramm and junior defensive specialist Dani Brannon represented the RedStorm on the list of honorees. The duo helped Rio to an 18-18 finish this season.
