    FLORENCE, Ky. - University of Rio Grande thrower Carrie Corriell is once again the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for April 11-17.
    The honor was Coriell's third of the season.

    MUNCIE, Ind. - Carrie Coriell and Tyanna Petty collected a trio of top 10 finishes, while Maddie Rigsby and Katie Roberts snared a pair of their own for the University of Rio Grande women's track & field team at the Ball State Challenge, which wrapped up a two-day run on Saturday at the Briner Sports Complex.
    Coriell, a senior from Lucasville, Ohio, finished in seventh place - while also reaching the "B" qualifying standard for the national championship - in the shot put with a heave of 13.07m. She also placed fifth in the discus throw with a toss of 40.96m and was eighth in the hammer throw with an effort of 46.59m.
    Petty, a sophomore from Somerset, Ohio, took seventh in the high jump (1.61m), eighth in the long jump (5.23m) and 10th in the 100-meter hurdles (15.57).

    RIO GRANDE, Ohio - Tyanna Petty recorded a second place finish, while two of her teammates collected a pair of top 10 finishes to lead the University of Rio Grande women's track & field team at the All-Ohio Championships, which finished up a two-day run on Saturday at Ohio University in Athens.
    Petty, a sophomore from Somerset, Ohio, piled up 4,070 points over the course of the seven events in the heptathlon, finishing only behind Lydia Guagenti from Findlay University (4,535 pts.).
    Petty won the 800-meter run, placed fifth in the 200-meter dash, tied for fifth in the high jump, was sixth in both the long jump and javelin throw, finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles and was 10th in shot put.

    NEW CONCORD, Ohio - Tyanna Petty had a pair of first place finishes and four top 10 showings, while Carrie Coriell had three top 10 finishes of her own - including first place in the hammer throw -  to lead the University of Rio Grande women's track & field team at Wilmington College's Amy Adams Memorial Invitational, Friday afternoon, at the Johnson Family Track and Field.
    Petty, a sophomore from Somerset, Ohio, placed first in both the 400-meter dash (1:01.66) and the high jump (1.55m), while finishing fifth in the long jump (16-01.75) and sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (17.00).
    Coriell, a senior from Lucasville, Ohio, won the hammer throw with a heave of 45.05m, while taking second in the discus throw with a toss of 40.37m and third in the shot put with an effort of 38-06.75.
    Freshmen Lucy Williams (Albany, OH) and Taylor Monk (Ironton, OH) also had first place performances for the RedStorm.
    Williams was first in the 2,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 7:50.86 and Monk topped all competitors in the javelin throw with a heave of 31.30m.
