    CROWN CITY, Ohio - University of Rio Grande cross country/track & field head coach Bob Willey has announced the signing of South Gallia High School's Alana Riggle for the 2015-16 school year.
    Riggle, a 5-foot-3 sprinter/jumper, competed in four events over the course of her high school career for head coach Beth James' Rebels.
    "I think the University of Rio Grande is a great school and the track & field program is very good," Riggle said, when asked about the deciding factors in her choice to sign with the RedStorm.

    HEATH, Ohio - University of Rio Grande cross country/track & field head coach Bob Willey has announced the signing of Heath High School's Kayla Carmichael for the 2015-16 school year.
    Carmichael, a 5-foot-3 sprinter, set a personal-best time of 12.74 in the 100-meter dash as a senior. As a junior, she anchored Heath's 400 and 800 relay squads to school-record times and fifth-place finishes at the Division II regional meet, while also helping the Bulldogs win the Division II district title and placing in two individual events and two relays.

    HILLSBORO, Ohio - University of Rio Grande cross country/track & field head coach Bob Willey has announced he signing of Hillsboro High School's Alyssa Sullivan for the 2015-16 school year.
    Sullivan, a 6-foot-0 thrower, was a four year varsity letter winner for head coach Sarah Horsley's Indians. She competed in both the shot put and discus during the course of her prep career.
    "I'm beyond excited to be a part of a collegiate level track & field program. It's been a goal of mine since my sophomore year," Sullivan said. "I think it's going to be a great experience. It'll be nice having a specific throwing coach."

    GALLIPOLIS, Ohio - University of Rio Grande director of track & field/cross country Steve Gruenberg has announced the signing of Ohio Valley Christian School's Rebekah Sargent for the 2015-16 school year.
    Sargent, a 5-foot-8 sprinter/jumper, ran for head coach Rick Handley's Defenders, competing in the 100-meter dash, the 200-meter dash and the long jump.
    "I'm honored to be able to participate in college-level track," Sargent said. "It'll be a great opportunity to extend my skill and to be the best athlete I can be. I've dream about playing a sport in college since my freshman year, but I never thought I'd be able to."

    WEST PORTSMOUTH, Ohio - University of Rio Grande track and field head coach Bob Willey has announced the signing of Portsmouth West High School's Jordan Spencer for the 2015-16 school year.
    Spencer, a 5-foot-8 multi-sport performer, participated in seven different events over the course of her prep career for coach Julie Conrad's Senators. As a senior, she competed in four events and set a personal-best mark of 27-9.50 in the shot put.
    "I am very excited and blessed to have this opportunity," Spencer said. "Competing at the collegiate level is something I've wanted to do for as long as I can remember."

    McARTHUR, Ohio – University of Rio Grande track & field head coach Bob Willey has announced the signing of Vinton County High School's Jennifer Case for the 2015-16 school year.
    Case, a 5-foot-2 mid-distance/relay runner, participated in the 4x400 relay, the 4x800 relay, the 1,600-meter run and the 3,200-meter run during her prep career for head coach Jon Lindner's Vikings. She also ran on the school's cross country team for the first time last fall.
    "I'm excited to be signing with Rio Grande because it's a challenge to myself and a chance to continue being part of a running family," Case said. "Honestly, I never thought I would be able to continue running in college, but I'm happy with the opportunity to be a part of the team here and I'm excited to see the outcome."
