BEAVER, Ohio - University of Rio Grande volleyball head coach Billina Donaldson has announced the signing of Eastern High School's Chandler Brown for the 2013 season.
Brown, a 5-foot-7 outside hitter, was a major contributor for head coach Janet Day's Eagles, who finished the 2012 campaign at 27-1 after losing to to eventual state runner-up Kidron Central Christian in the Ohio Division IV state semifinals.
Brown ranked second on the team in digs with 213 and led the squad with 85 service aces.

BEAVER, Ohio - University of Rio Grande volleyball head coach Billina Donaldson has announced the signing of Eastern High School's Miranda Clark for the 2013 season.
Clark, 6-foot-0 right side hitter, helped head coach Janet Day's Eagles to a 27-1 season and a trip to the Ohio Division IV state semifinals, where they fell to eventual state runner-up Kidron Central Christian.
Clark finished with a team-high 275 kills and also served up 58 aces en route to earning All-Southern Ohio Conference and All-Southeast District first team selections.

JACKSON, Ohio - University of Rio Grande volleyball head coach Billina Donaldson has announced the addition of Jackson High School's Sarah Martin to the RedStorm's 2013 roster.
Martin, a 5-foot-11 setter/right side hitter, was a key performer the Ironladies, who are coached by her father, Jay.
Martin tallied 212 kills, 331 assists (4.1 apg) and 221 digs to go along with a .472 hitting percentage. She also had 52 solo blocks, 53 block assists and 37 aces for the Ironladies, who finished 11-13 after a loss to Waverly in Division II district tournament play.

McARTHUR, Ohio - University of Rio Grande head volleyball coach Billina Donaldson has announced the signing of Vinton County High School's Caitlyn Owings for the 2013 season.
Owings, a 5-foot-11 outside hitter, was named the District 13 Division II Player of the Year after leading first-year head coach Brittany Carper's Vikings in both kills and blocks for the third straight season. She also led the team in blocks and ranked second in kills as a freshman.
Vinton County's 2012 campaign ended with a loss to Marietta in sectional tournament play.
Owings was also named to the All-Tri-Valley Conference First Team for the second consecutive season, as well as being named an All-Southeast District selection and her team's Most Valuable Player for each of the past two seasons.

ATHENS, Ohio – University of Rio Grande head volleyball coach Billina Donaldson has announced the signing of Alexander High School's Jonnalyn Shimko for the 2013 season.
Shimko, a 5-foot-6 setter, helped head coach Nick Wendt's Spartans to a 17-9 finish in the fall after a season-ending loss to Zane Trace in the Division III district finals.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Three members of the University of Rio Grande's volleyball team were among the 408 students named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes last Friday.
Representing the RedStorm were senior middle blocker Erin Sherman (South Webster, OH), junior setter Kelsey Martin (Jackson, OH) and junior defensive specialist/libero Nicole Ogg (Albany, OH).
