Amber Oliver
Head Coach - 5th Season
Oliver begins her fifth season as head coach. She has been the coach of the Rio Grande women's program since its inception in 2004 as a club sport.
A1998 graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Oliver was a player on the PPHS boys' team because there was no girls' soccer squad at the school. She went on to play both soccer and basketball at Marietta College.
She was a four-year defender for Marietta and served as team captain her senior year, capturing team Most Valuable Player honors and was named 2nd Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference that season.She graduated from Marietta in 2002 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She later went to earn a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Marshall.
She returned to Point Pleasant in 2003 and served as assistant coach for the boys' soccer team. Currently she is teaching in the Hanover, WV School District.
