    LANCASTER, Ohio – Fairfield Union High School two-sport standout Taylor Grubb has signed a letter-of-intent to play basketball and to run cross country/track & field for the University of Rio Grande beginning with the 2015-16 school year.
    Grubb, a 5-foot-6 guard on the basketball court and a distance/relay runner for the Falcons during her prep career, lettered three times in all three sports. She also lettered in volleyball and swimming and earned Scholar Athlete honors in each of her varsity seasons.
    "Signing with Rio Grande makes me so excited," Grubb said. "Basketball has been my favorite sport ever since I first started playing it."
    As a two-year captain, Grubb helped head coach Steve Clipenger's team post a 13-10 finish last winter following a loss to Warren High School in the Division II district quarterfinals.
    Over the course of her high school running career, Grubb participated in cross country's 5,000-meter run for coach Rob Myers as well as the 800-meter run, the 1,600-meter run, the 4x400 relay and the 4x800 relay for coach Joel Denny.
    She was also named Fairfield Union's 2015 most outstanding senior female athlete.

    GRANVILLE, Ohio - University of Rio Grande head baseball coach Brad Warnimont has announced the signing of Granville High School's Graham Parsley for the 2016 season.
    Parsley, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound catcher, closed out his prep career by helping head coach Vince Ghiloni's Blue Aces to a 16-10 finish following a 3-2 loss to Bishop Watterson in the quarterfinal round of Division II district tournament play.
    "The opportunity to continue playing baseball at Rio is the fulfillment of a dream I've been working for since I started catching in Little League," Parsley said.
    Parsley, who led his summer team in home runs in 2014, batted .313 this spring at Granville.

    HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – University of Rio Grande women's soccer head coach Callum Morris has announced the signing of Spring Valley High School's Olivia Slone for the 2015 season.
    Slone, a 5-foot-2 defender, helped the Lady Wolves to a 11-10-1 finish last fall after a 1-0 loss to rival Huntington High School in Class AAA sectional tournament play.
    Slone was an honorable mention All-State selection by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association and was a second team All-Mountain State Athletic Conference honoree.
