Brown wins two MSC Championship events
University of Rio Grande sophomore Tracie Brown (Logan, OH) won the MId-South Championship in the women's hammer throw at the MSC Track and Field Meet held at Stockmeister Track & Field Complex, establishing a Mid-South Conference record in the event with a top toss of 40.25 meters.
Brown claimed her second MSC Championship of the meet with a first place finish in the women's discus throw. Her best effort was 36.04 meters.
She recorded a fourth place finish in the shot put (10.79m).
She scored a total of 25 points in the meet, the fifth highest total of any individual. Rio scored 88 points and finished 5th overall.
