RedStorm women lose at Campbellsville
Campbellsville, Ky. --- The struggles continued for the University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon as they came up on the short end of a 4-1 decision at Campbellsville. This was a make-up game from last Friday.
Rio Grande (1-9-1, 0-4 MSC) has lost seven consecutive games and is still looking for that elusive first victory in the Mid-South Conference.
Campbellsville (8-3-1, 3-1 MSC) picked a third straight win.
Campbellsville had 27 shots in the game and kept Rio Grande freshman goalkeeper Kaitlyn Schultz (Plain City, OH) busy. She had 14 saves in the game.
Rio freshman forward Erica Feeman (Bremen, OH) scored the RedStorm's lone goal in the first half to keep Rio Grande from being shutout.
Rio will return home on October 15 for a 5 p.m. versus Lindsey Wilson.
