Wilmington, Ohio --- The depleted University of Rio Grande RedStorm men's cross country team fielded only four runners at Friday's Wilmington Fall Classic. Needing five healthy runners to score, the RedStorm did not have a team score at the meet, but received a tremendous individual effort from sophomore Nick Wilson.

The Barlow, Ohio native finished 12th overall and ran the 8-kilometer course in 25:44.57.

Junior Zane Miller (Grove City, OH) finished 89th with a time of 27:30.80 and sophomore Kyle Goode (Racine, OH) was 170th (28:56.68).

Senior Kyle Hively (Vinton, OH) was back on the course, competing in his first meet of the season and he finished 235th with a time of 30:05.08.

Counting Rio Grande, there were 29 schools competing in the men's race and 329 runners.

Rio Grande will run next Saturday (October 23) at the Great Lakes Invitational in Grand Rapids, Mich. The men's race will begin at 11 a.m.
