RedStorm perform at Ohio Open

Athens, Ohio --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm men's and women's track and field squads were back in action on Saturday, competing at the Ohio Open. Rio put together some solid performances in the non-scoring meet.

Rio had a limited number of competitors on the men's side, but the RedStorm were not without solid performances. 

 

Senior Chris Woodfork (Chillicothe, OH) stepped up and produced a second place finish in the men's javelin. His top effort was measured at 47.31 meters.

 

Junior distance man Matthew Spencer (Pickerington, OH) posted a fifth place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:07.24. Freshman Chris Aldea (Grove City, OH) ran eighth in the 800, covering the distance in 2:16.99.
