COLUMBIA, Ky. - Tyanna Petty had a pair of first-place finishes and took third place in another event to lead the University of Rio Grande women's track and field team at Sunday's Lindsey Wilson Twilight at Blue Raider Stadium.
Petty, a junior from Somerset, Ohio, finished first in both the 100-meter hurdles (16.16) and javelin throw (26.20m), while taking third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.22.
The RedStorm also got two top five outings from senior Katie Roberts (Vinton, OH). She took second in the hammer throw with a toss of 44.60m and was fourth in the shot put with a heave of 12.56m.
Rio also had a third place performance from freshman Alison McNeal (Logan, OH) in the shot put with a toss of 13.00m and freshman Natalie Seeberg (Urbana, OH) finished fourth in the hammer throw with a heave covering 37.48m.
