KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The University of Rio Grande was among the schools receiving votes in the final NAIA Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 poll of the 2016 season.
The final rankings were determined by the team finish in last weekend's NAIA National Championship meet in Elsah, Ill.
The RedStorm finished 32nd among the 36 competing schools
British Columbia earned the No. 1 ranking after winning their fourth national championship at the North Farms Cross Country Course.
British Columbia snapped national runner-up - and No. 2 ranked - Northwest Christian's (Ore.) streak of 12 consecutive polls in the No. 1 spot.
Rounding out the top five are No. 3 Biola (Calif.) with 166 points, No. 4 Aquinas (Mich.) with 180 and No. 5 Oklahoma City earning 206 points.
Thirteen of the 21 conference/Association of Independent Institutions were represented.
