RedStorm track competes at Kenyon

Gambier, OH --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm men's and women's indoor track and field squads were in competition on Friday at the Kenyon College Invitational. This was a non-scoring meet.

 

Rio senior sprinter Chris Woodfork (Chillicothe, OH) was able to build on solid performances in the previous meet with a first place finish in the men's 55-meter dash. Woodfork's time was clocked at 6.62. Junior Mike Green (Columbus, OH) also came away with a first place finish in the long jump. His best effort was 21 feet, 2 ¼ inches.

 

Freshman Jay Butler (Cincinnati, OH) finished third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.73 and he was sixth in the 55 (6.78). 

 

Senior David Croom (Heath, OH) earned a fifth place finish in the 55-meters (6.74). He also finished 16th in the shot put with a best throw of 39 feet and ½ inch.
