RedStorm women lose at Georgetown
Georgetown, Ky. --- The University of Rio Grande RedStorm women's soccer team came up empty on Friday evening at Georgetown College, dropping a 4-0 decision in Mid-South Conference play.
Rio Grande (1-14-1, 0-6 MSC) managed only three shots for the game with two coming from freshman forward Erica Feeman (Bremen, OH).
Georgetown (9-7, 3-2 MSC) scored one goal in the first half and added three in the second half en route to the victory. The first came in 13th minute on a one-on-one move that resulted in a goal from Alessandra Jansen.
The Tigers scored goal number two in the 50th minute and padded the lead with two markers in the 82nd and 84th minutes respectively.
Rio freshman goalkeeper Kaitlyn Schultz (Plain City, OH) collected four saves in the loss.
Rio Grande will close out the regular season at home versus West Virginia Tech on Monday night (November 2). Kick-off is set for 6 p.m.
